I’m So Glad You’re Here!
I hope you've come because you believe your good can get even better. I write this blog for you. I am committed to finding a way to be happy in my own life, and when I'm successful I share what I have learned. So far, what I have learned has been amazing for me, my students, my clients, and the wonderful people who meet me here on my website.
So let's do this together. The vibe here is casual, but the work is serious.
My name is Brooke Castillo and I created this site. I love to write - in fact, I've always loved to write. When I was younger, you would either find me reading or writing. Not much has changed. So here's a little about who I am, and what I love...
Mind Manager. Mother. Master Weight Loss Coach. Lover of my husband, Chris. Founder of The Life Coach School. Friend. Laugher. Believer. I've always thrived on the fact that I consider myself a professional self help book reader and found myself as an early adult enjoying the works of Byron Katie, Martha Beck, Jack Canfield, Abraham, and Geneen Roth. In case you didn't know, I also wrote a book called If I am So Smart, Why Can't I Lose Weight. I have received wonderful feedback for that book:
I bought your book because I hated my body. After reading it cover to cover in one night, I no longer hate my body, but more importantly, I don't hate myself. I'm done beating myself up. Thank you for teaching me how to do that.
That is what this website is all about - me living deliberately. I believe that we all want more awareness of ourselves and we are hungry to live what we know to be true within us. Which is ultimately what I want this website to become. A place for people to read, become aware, and choose to live more awake by being aware of what they think. Choose your thoughts. Choose your life.

Trust Your Guidance
A few weeks ago, we went to San Francisco to meet our extended family for the day. We met up with them in Japan Town and then planned to head to a restaurant at the wharf. We had never been to this particular restaurant before, so although it wasn’t far away, we put it in [...]

Soccer is More Important Than School
This is a picture of my son. He took of himself with his phone. He’s currently obsessed with soccer. It’s hard for many of my friends to understand how much time and energy we put into this sport. We adjusted our year-long trip to come home so our son could play with his team. And, [...]

Laughing
I think laughing might be the most important thing. I am fascinated by people who never seem to laugh. I laugh at everything. I love laughing. I am always looking for an excuse to laugh. I want to find you funny. My kids are always laughing. They laugh at us mostly. But I love [...]
