In one of our coaching calls, Meadow said to a client, "It's not a race, so no one's ahead of you."
Not sure why, but the way she said it on that particular day, knocked the wind out of me.
We're not in a race?
Then why are we all running so fast?
Looking over our shoulders?
Checking our watches?
Frantically looking for the finish line?
Why are we freaked out when people are ahead of us?
Someone forgot to tell us that we aren't in a race against each other.
I'm so glad Meadow remembered.
The race is over.
We've already won.
Time to claim our prize.
It's here. Now.
