Beliefs Are Choices

The following is a excerpt from my book, "If I am So Smart, Why Can't I Lose Weight?"   I am starting a book club for those of you who enjoyed the book and would like to discuss it with me.  Click here if you want to join.

We really decide what is true in our own lives. We might as well choose to believe the truth. The truth is that we are all filled with an abundant source of love. The truth is that each one of us has a place on the planet that is ours to inhabit and shine. The truth is we have free will and control of our emotional lives. We can decide to acknowledge and live this truth. We can make a choice that we are no longer willing to be defined by our old, outdated belief systems and we choose to believe that we are loved. By living our truth, we can stop stuffing it with food.

You are truly amazing. This is not an arrogant concept at all. I am not suggesting that you are any more amazing than anyone else on the planet, just that you realize you are equally as amazing as each other divinely created being. We all have an equal ability to be whom we are meant to be. I know for sure that we are not meant to believe lies about how inadequate or unloved we are. We are loved beyond our wildest imaginations. We have the ability to tap into that love by choosing to honor and love ourselves. When we do that, our ability to give love is increased dramatically.
